Budget + Planning
Whether we are designing a custom home to suit your budget or creating a budget to suit your plans, we work with your goals in mind to ensure your project starts off right.
There are many factors that determine the ultimate cost of a custom home build. At Tru Bilt, we work with you from the very start by producing thorough, transparent and comprehensive budgets based your wants and needs.
Our hands on project management team take care to ensure your budget is always top-of-mind during the build and will clearly communicate any viable cost saving opportunities or potential overruns. We also understand that our clients needs and wants can (and likely will) change during the build. By managing the budget together, we can work collaboratively to find solutions that work for you.

Design + Drafting
We take special care during the design stage of your home to ensure you are satisfied with the end result.
Designing your home or cottage should always be done to suit your property. Proper design and planning can drastically reduce extra costs and time delays during construction. We will meet with you on site to discuss your needs, determine the site layout and go over foundation types to ensure your property will be both functional and beautiful.
We will recommend a draftsman to design your dream home. All design and consulting fees are waived upon signing a contract with us to build your home.
Foundation + Concrete
It goes without saying that the foundation is the most integral part of your house.
We believe that ICF (insulated concrete forms) foundations are the best solution to a warm, dry, mold resistant basement and highly recommend using them. We are very experienced with using ICF’s whether it be a bi- level, full basement, or ICF’s to the trusses. Start your house out right with ICF technology.
Although we recommend ICF’s to everyone, PWF’s (Preserved wood foundations) can be a cost effective and preferred foundation by many customers. Wood foundations have been proven to stand the test of time if done correctly. We are very experienced with the process of building a PWF. Please consult with us about ICF vs PWF for pricing, pros and cons, etc.
Framing + Envelope
We are experienced in many methods of structural construction, including:
- Tradition 2×6 stud framing
- Post and Beam Construction
- SIPs walls (structurally insulated panels)
- Stick Framing / hand cut rafters
- Steel stud framing
- ICF construction to rafters
In this phase we also seal the building up with:
- Roofing
- Windows
- Doors
- Garage doors

Insulation + Drywall
Ensuring your home is air tight and draft free is paramount to high efficiency and lower utilities. We pay particular attention to how your home is insulated to ensure your comfort for years to come.
We also have a very experienced staff that can hang and tape drywall. Although drywall is not always performed by our crew, having extensive knowledge and experience in this area ensures quality when it comes to framing, insulating, and prepping for drywall.
Interior Finishing
Our experienced crew take pride in finishing the houses we have built. We are committed to providing the best possible workmanship and we spare no expense or time to ensure that your home or cottage exceeds your expectations.
We do all our own finishing work including;
